Step into the sonic universe of Midnight Grand Orchestra with the ANIMA ANW03 Midnight Grand Orchestra Ver. wireless headphones. Crafted by ANIMA, a sub-brand of the acclaimed Hi-Fi audio manufacturer Acoustune, this collaboration model brings the visual and acoustic world of the musical unit to life. The design mirrors the headphones worn by Suisei Hoshimachi in the unit's storyline "Allegro," blending anime concept art with serious audio engineering.

The Midnight Black aesthetic comes from designer Punch, known for Midnight Grand Orchestra's visual world. Matte housings pair with a black baked-paint headband for a dark, night-sky mood, while silver prints and etched plate ornaments on the top of the headphones evoke light glowing in darkness, a nod to the unit's two members. The package itself is a specially drawn design, with illustration by Komeshitsu and graphic design by Punch.

Sound tuning was supervised by TAKU INOUE, the producer, composer, and DJ behind the unit's sound. Through the dedicated ANIMA Studio app (iOS/Android), you can switch between three distinct tuning patterns he personally created, letting you shape the listening experience to your mood.

This model also features an exclusive "Advent Voice" system: freshly recorded guide voice lines from Suisei Hoshimachi, the vocalist of Midnight Grand Orchestra, delivering announcements in her own voice. With 42 voice lines included, it's the most extensive voice set ever offered in a single ANIMA model. Note that Hoshimachi's voice is the only standard voice bundled with this collaboration model, and no free additional voices are currently planned.

Underneath the design, Acoustune's engineering expertise runs deep. The brand supervised the ANW03's core structure and acoustic design, drawing on its Hi-Fi earphone development experience to study how music sounds amid everyday background noise. The result is a natural, fatigue-free sound balance built for long listening sessions in all kinds of environments. Everyday essentials are covered too, including auto-pairing, Bluetooth 5.4, aptX Adaptive (24bit/96kHz), a built-in microphone, and wired connection options via 3.5mm cable or USB OTG.

At the heart of the sound is a newly developed dynamic driver built specifically for headphones, featuring Acoustune's CoClear diaphragm, a material born from the know-how behind their proprietary Mylinx earphone drivers. It's paired with a high-density magnet and optimized magnetic circuit, refined further by ANW03's custom DSP processing. Together with a faster, higher-capacity flash memory and a newly designed Class AB amplifier, this forms the S.A.L.T. Plus system, Acoustune's signal processing approach that allows for far more precise frequency tuning and nuanced sound design than previous models.

The companion ANIMA Studio app extends the headphones' functionality further. Beyond switching Advent Voice lines and Persona Tune sound profiles (all developed or supervised by Acoustune), the app also handles firmware updates, keeping your headphones equipped with the latest features and fixes. Voice and sound settings are saved to the headphones' internal memory, so your preferences carry over even when you connect to a different device.
