Mitsubishi Uni Kuru Toga Standard Model 0.5 mm Mechanical Pencil, Violet

Discover the Mitsubishi Uni Kuru Toga Standard Model mechanical pencil in a lovely violet shade, part of a collaboration with the beloved Peanuts characters. The pencil pairs Kuru Toga's clever engineering with a vibrant, pop-style design and takes standard 0.5 mm lead.

The Kuru Toga series by Mitsubishi Pencil is famous for solving a common writing hassle: uneven lines and dull pencil tips. Inside the pencil, a three-gear mechanism rotates the lead slightly every time you press down and lift up from the paper. The upper and lower gears bite diagonally against the middle gear, which is connected to the core, so each small motion of writing turns the lead bit by bit.

This keeps the tip continuously sharp as you write, so your lines stay thin, dark, and neat, without the lead catching on the paper or smudging your notebook. As it works, the Kuru Toga mark on the barrel spins along with the mechanism, a small, satisfying sign that your lead is always rotating into its sharpest position.
