Moomin Hobonichi Pencil Board for A6, A5, and Weeks Planners

Order via Japan Rabbit

Add a touch of Moominvalley to your daily journaling with the Hobonichi Pencil Board, made specifically for A6, A5, and Weeks planner sizes. Created in 1945 by Finnish author and artist Tove Jansson, the Moomin series follows the gentle Moomintroll and his whimsical companions through gentle, comforting adventures in Moominvalley. Slipped directly under your planner page, this smooth board keeps your ballpoint pen from slipping and prevents bumpy impressions from showing through.

Each size features its own classic illustration from the original Moomin books. The A6 board shows Moomintroll, Snufkin, and Sniff discovering a mysterious hat atop a mountain, a scene from Finn Family Moomintroll, while the back shows Moominpappa trying the hat on and admiring himself in the mirror. The A5 board depicts Moomintroll and friends playing in a jungle that has sprung up around Moominhouse thanks to that same hat, with the back capturing Moominmamma waking to find her room filled with tiny white flowers. The Weeks board draws from Comet in Moominland, showing an extravagant grand ball attended by water spirits, bugs, and tree spirits, with the back showing them all dancing joyfully around the room.

Designed to make planner life easier, the board doubles as an everyday tool. A small "Today" tab on the top corner acts as a bookmark, letting you flip straight to your current page. On the back, the long edge is marked at 1mm intervals, turning your pencil board into a handy ruler whenever you need one.
