TOWER RECORDS Cassette Player Yellow
Relive the golden age of analogue audio with this vibrant yellow Tower Records cassette tape player. Tower Records remains a legendary destination for music lovers in Japan, famous for its iconic store branding and passion for physical media. Painted in the label's signature bright yellow, this portable player brings a playful retro touch to spinning your tape collection.
This compact Hi-Fi stereo unit measures 112mm by 80mm by 31mm and weighs about 186g. It features auto-reverse playback, the usual play, stop, fast-forward, and rewind controls, volume adjustment, and a standard 3.5mm headphone jack. Power it with two AA batteries for roughly 10 hours of playback, or run it directly via USB (note that USB only powers the unit; it does not charge batteries). It plays Normal, High-Bias, and Metal tapes, though it doesn't include an equalizer for fine-tuning tape characteristics or extra wear-resistant components. It also won't record onto cassettes, but you can connect a USB drive to digitize your tape audio straight into MP3 format.
Your package includes the player in its own white box, a USB cable, simple stereo earphones, an instruction manual with warranty card, and a mini flathead screwdriver. That screwdriver lets you manually fine-tune the tape motor speed through a small adjustment hole on the back panel, handy since playback speed can vary slightly between individual units. Please note that AA batteries and an AC adapter are not included.
